As part of its continued engagement with the Abyei community, UNISFA has supported several key infrastructure developments across Abyei. Among recent efforts, the construction of new premises for Abyei FM under the Quip Impact Projects and PAKBATT —with support from Vietnamese engineers—aimed at the restoring the community’s only functioning radio station, closing a critical gap in public communication.

The Nigerian Contingent also contributed by building two new bus stations in Abyei market, enhancing local transportation facilities.

The Vietnamese Engineering Company carried out essential road leveling around Abyei Hospital, addressing long-standing access challenges, particularly during the rainy season. These contributions, while not exhaustive, reflect UNISFA’s steady and practical involvement in strengthening the area’s basic infrastructure.
