A delegation from UNISFA, led by Ag Head of Mission and FC Major General Benjamin Sawyerr, concluded a four-day visit to Juba, South Sudan on 13 November. The visit, initiated at the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, featured talks with senior South Sudanese officials including Director General of the National Security Service, the Inspector General of Police, and the Chief Administrator alongside Ministers of the Abyei Special Administrative Area. The meetings aimed to strengthen collaborative efforts and enhance the overall security and stability in Abyei.

The delegation also held separate meetings with Members of Parliament representing Abyei and Mayom County from Unity State in South Sudan. Discussions focused on pertinent  issues affection Abyei and underscored the commitment of UNISFA to fostering positive relations with the leaders in the implementation of its mandate.
