In support of the 23 March appeal of the Secretary General for a global ceasefire, on 12 May the Abyei Women Association from the Ngok Dinka community issued a press statement calling on all armed elements in Abyei to ceasefire as Abyei focuses its efforts on fighting COVID-19.
