Acting Head of Mission and Force Commander, Maj Gen Robert Affram, led a delegation from Mission Headquarters on an operational visit to Sector South and Sector North. The tour aimed to assess operational readiness and review challenges faced in mandate implementation.

The delegation visited Company Operating Bases in Rumamier, Marial Achak, Tajalei, and Todach. At each location, Maj Gen Affram engaged directly with peacekeepers. He praised their dedication and commitment to protecting civilians, especially in hard-to-reach areas.

The visit concluded in Todach with a community engagement event. The delegation met with Misseriya and Ngok Dinka leaders representing the Joint Community Protection Committee, Joint Peace Committee, Traditional Court, and women and youth representatives. The discussions focused on security and access to basic services. Leaders also called for continued support to peace initiatives.

Maj Gen Affram acknowledged the concerns raised by the communities. He reaffirmed UNISFA’s commitment to work closely with local actors to address the challenges and to strengthen peacebuilding efforts.
