It was a memorable day on 17 June, when GhanBatt, , led by the Commanding Officer, Lt Col E Aboagye Tieku and UNISFA personal and UN OCHA, visited Ganga Primary School in Abathok  and spend time with learners, teachers and local authority representatives at the school

Ghanbatt donated some 600 exercise books, 100 school bags and several pens, erasers, rulers, sharpeners, crayons, pencils and mathematical sets to the students of Ganga Primary School. The donation included several footballs and volleyballs to promote sports and recreational activities at the school.

The school Head Teacher, John Fatal Bol, thanked GHANBATT for their benevolence saying the donation will greatly impact teaching and learning at the school. He appealed to UNISFA for more support in addressing challenges facing the school. Abathok community Chief Aguur Kiir Makolalso expressed immense gratitude to GHANBATT for the timely intervention.

Representatives of the local authorities called on UNISFA and partners to provide more support to the school which is facing serious challenges including lack of educational materials, inadequate classrooms, and teachers, among others.
