In commemoration of this year’s International Volunteers Day themed "If Everyone Did," UNVs serving with UNISFA came together on 2 December to create a fruit orchard at the Mission Headquarters.  The event involved the participation of civilian and military personnel.

Acting HoM/FC Maj Gen Benjamin Sawyerr commended the UNVs for their role in fulfilling UNISFA's mandate and reiterated the need for collaboration to ensure global peace and security. The culmination of the event was the fruit tree planting exercise at the Mission HQ, symbolizing the unity and commitment of UNVs. This year's theme is an acknowledgment that impactful change begins with one person: including volunteering as an act of kindness or as a moment of selflessness.
