UNISFA celebrated the International Day of Persons with Disability in Abyei on 4 December. The occasion was used to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society and development.

The Ngok Dinka Paramount Chief and Minister of Education who were present at the occasion remarked about the importance of having everyone including persons with disabilities on board to achieve peace and stability in Abyei. 

he Mission Chief of Staff said, “We need everyone, including persons with disabilities, on board to achieve peace and stability in Abyei”. A total of 70 participants from local communities including women, youth and children attended the event.
