The Pakistan army has dispatched the advance party of its battalion to UNISFA. The advance team, comprising of 15 personnel, arrived in the mission Area of Operation on 9 February 2022, and was deployed to UNISFA Todach Team Site of Sector North.

UNPOL and partners conducted a training on Sexual Gender Based Violence and, children's rights for journalists working for Abyei FM on 9 December 2021. The training is part of sensitization sessions on SGBV organised by UN Police and partners in the Abyei Box.

The Mayor of Abyei and the Ngok Dinka Paramount Chief joined UNISFA personnel and local community during a massive clean-up of the Abyei market on 5 December.
